OEVI 0N07 - WSET ADVANCED AWARD in WINES & SPIRITS - Level 3

The Advanced Award is intended to provide in-depth knowledge of a wide range of wines and spirits from around the world and is open to students who hold the WSET Level 2 Certificate/Award or can demonstrate knowledge at Intermediate level through completion of an entrance test and sufficient experience in the wine and spirit industry.
This qualification is also suitable for the wine enthusiast wishing to build on knowledge gained at Level 2.
This qualification will assist those who may be required to make professional evaluations of wines and spirits as to its quality and commercial value. Level 3 will provide you with in depth product knowledge that, in turn, will strengthen and support your job skills in product selection for the retail and hospitality sectors.
Holders of the WSET Advanced Certificate/Award will be able to describe the characteristics of the principal wines and spirits found around the world and identify the key factors influencing its style, quality and value. They will in turn be in a position to advise management, advise customer queries with confidence and make informed selections of wines and spirits in a wide variety of situations.
Prerequisite: We recommend OEVI 0N06 (WSET Intermediate Certificate/Award in Wines and Spirits - Level 2);

OEVI 0N06 - WSET Intermediate Award in Wine and Spirits - Level 2
Date: Wed. April 11, 2012 6:00pm - Wed. June 6, 2012 6:00pm (9 weeks)Price: $650.00

Course Duration: Eight (8) weeks plus exam (9 weeks total)
Instructors: Peter Bodnar Rod and Rob Power
Prerequisite: We recommend OEVI 0N05 (WSET Foundation in Wine - Level 1) be taken.
This qualification is intended as vocational training in product knowledge for those employed in the wine or wine and spirit drinks industry who have some previous knowledge of wines and spirits.
This course is also appropriate for those not employed in the drinks industry but who have a serious interest in wine and wish to broaden their knowledge in a structured way.
Course deals with all aspects of wine, learn major grape varieties and wine styles from key wine producing countries of the world, the main spirit categories and understand factors that influence wine quality and price. Students will taste and compare styles as they are guided through the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting.
If you are an employer wishing to train your staff this course will equip them with knowledge of the main wine styles and spirits categories. This course is suitable for anyone employed in wine sales and service.
